Tim Murungi

Tim Murungi is Senior Commercial Director at DAMAC Properties, leading commercial strategy and governance across a Southeast Asian data centre portfolio of 2,076.4 MW total build-out and 555.4 MW of Phase 1 capacity, spanning nine major projects across Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia.

He has run a compressed two-month pre-contract mobilisation alongside twelve months of post-contract commercial management — setting package scope and procurement priorities, leading cost planning, bid evaluation, tender clarification and risk reviews, and aligning CSA, MEP and LLE scopes, interfaces and commercial responsibilities. After award he directs cost, contract, change and claims governance, monitors commitments, forecasts, contractor performance and commercial risk, and maintains executive reporting, decision logs and close-out, having closed CSA and LLE installation packages on BKK01, BKK02 and JKT01.

Tim brings more than 25 years of experience across data centre, infrastructure, real estate, oil and gas, and MEP sectors. Prior roles include Country Manager for McDermott Uganda, Chief Operating Officer at Civtec Africa, Director of Real Estate at Centum Investments, Director of Quantity Surveying at Damac Properties UAE, and Senior Commercial Manager at EC Harris International.
