Biography
Sarah Heatley is a Quantity Surveyor based in London / Watford, combining a strong grounding in legal and contractual principles with hands-on quantity surveying experience. She holds an LLB Law degree from the University of Sheffield, awarded at 2:1, and is due to commence an MSc Quantity Surveying apprenticeship at the University of the Built Environment in late 2026.
Since joining a specialist quantity surveying consultancy in August 2026, Sarah has contributed to adjudication support, defect and dispute briefings, variation schedule review, Scott Schedule preparation, expert witness report support and creditor claim correspondence. Her work includes JCT Design and Build and Intermediate Building Contract disputes, heritage conservation briefings, specialist M&E final account reviews and residential housing disrepair matters.
Sarah is undertaking structured NEC3 and NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contract administration training, covering compensation event assessment, early warnings, Accepted Programme management, entitlement analysis and time and money claims. Her legal background supports careful contract interpretation, analytical writing and evidence-based problem solving relevant to major infrastructure programmes, including the NEC4 contractual environment of Sizewell C.
